Hyperscale Ups Bitcoin Stash, Bridging Holdings to Over 1,106 Coins

Hyperscale Data, Inc. has announced another Bitcoin purchase, bringing its holdings up to 1,106 digital coins — worth .7 million at today’s prices.
The NYSE-listed company added just 18.594 Bitcoin to its stash following last week’s acquisition of 51.5 coins. Hyperscale shares (GPUS) were trading nearly 4% lower on Tuesday morning in New York.
“Every Bitcoin we acquire further strengthens Hyperscale Data’s balance sheet and expands our financial flexibility,” said Milton ‘Todd’ Ault III, the company’s executive chairman. “A stronger and larger Bitcoin treasury gives us additional options to finance growth, pursue strategic opportunities, and create long-term value for our stockholders. We intend to continue building our Bitcoin position over time.”
The holdings are split across the company’s wholly owned subsidiaries, Sentinum, Inc. and Ault Capital Group, Inc. (ACG). The buildout is part of Hyperscale’s stated goal of establishing a 0 million digital asset treasury and reaching full parity between its Bitcoin holdings and its market capitalization.
A corporate Bitcoin treasury is a strategy in which a publicly traded firm holds the cryptocurrency as a reserve asset rather than keeping all of its capital in cash or short-term instruments. Supporters argue that Bitcoin’s fixed supply can act as a hedge against currency debasement, while critics point to its price volatility and the risk it introduces to a company’s balance sheet.
Hyperscale is following in the footsteps of Strategy — formerly MicroStrategy — by using spare cash to buy Bitcoin. Under the leadership of Michael Saylor, Strategy shifted from a traditional software business to accumulating Bitcoin, allowing investors to gain exposure to the asset through its shares, which trade on the Nasdaq. That approach effectively turned the company’s stock into a leveraged proxy for the price of Bitcoin.
This model has inspired other corporations to add the leading cryptocurrency to their treasuries. Hyperscale’s case, however, is unusual: its holdings now exceed its entire market capitalization, a situation more commonly seen in deeply discounted treasury plays. When a company’s crypto reserves are worth more than the market values the whole business, it can signal investor skepticism about the rest of the operations, or point to a potential mispricing that value-focused buyers may look to exploit.
For shareholders, the strategy ties the fortunes of the stock closely to Bitcoin’s market cycles. Continued accumulation could amplify gains during a rally, but it also exposes the balance sheet to sharp drawdowns if prices retreat. Management has signaled that it plans to keep expanding the position over time as it works toward its treasury targets.
