Cryptocurrency as a New Year gift

In a survey conducted by analysts at the central bank of the United Kingdom, respondents were asked to choose their preferred New Year gift from such options as cash, a bank transfer, a gift voucher or digital currency. More than 8,500 people took part in the survey, 70% of whom would like to find cryptocurrency under the Christmas tree, 21% – cash, 7% – bank transfers and only 2% – gift vouchers.
Surveys like this are not being conducted for the first time. Last month US Congressman Ron Paul reached out to his readers. On Twitter he posted a question asking in what form people would want to receive $10,000, given that they would not be able to spend the money for 10 years. 50% voted for Bitcoin, and about another 37% – for gold. And in November a survey was carried out by senior eToro analyst Mati Greenspan. He was interested in which cryptocurrency his followers preferred. Of the 28,189 respondents, 46% said they were supporters of Ripple, while Bitcoin and Ethereum were backed by 31% and 9% of the survey participants respectively.
