The altcoin Waves has been added to the instant conversion service of the British startup Wirex. The company's crypto wallet is linked to a Visa debit card, so users who have a balance in any of the cryptocurrencies BTC, LTC, XRP, ETH and Waves can make any purchases and withdraw cash from an ATM with the Wirex Visa card.

The Wirex startup has operated in the cryptocurrency market since 2014 and has issued 1.2 million debit cards in close cooperation with this international payment system. Wirex's main investor became the Japanese banking conglomerate SBI, which gained renown for its broad support of Ripple Net in Asia.

Since April 2018 customers can open a wallet and order contactless VISA cards through offices in London, Singapore, Delaware, Kyiv and Toronto, after passing full verification under the KYC procedure.

Wirex's management explains its choice of the altcoin Waves by the innovative blockchain developed by the startup, the cryptocurrency's 350% growth over the last single quarter and its entry into the top 25 in the cryptocurrency ranking. Such a surge is driven by the developers' new goals of creating a BaaS for storing and processing archives with a set of pre-installed smart contracts, providing fast and easy access to the product with a minimal level of knowledge.
