On top of that, the current rally coincided with a general revival of the altcoin market.

Positive news about diplomatic agreements between the US and Iran noticeably reduced concerns over risk assets.

What caused XRP to rise

On the eve of the rally, market sentiment toward XRP, according to estimates by the analytics platform Santiment, fell to its lowest values since October 2025. However, historical data shows that it is precisely at moments of total pessimism that powerful price impulses most often originate. Most of this cryptocurrency's large-scale surges occurred precisely when retail investors lost all interest in it.

A more important trigger for the trend reversal was the easing of geopolitical tension in the world. As a result, investors once again showed interest in riskier instruments. The world's main cryptocurrency rose to about $65,300, gold gained about 2% in price, and the commodities market reacted with a drop in oil prices of more than 3%.

Quite naturally, the wave of optimism also swept up the larger alternative coins. XRP is maintaining confident upward momentum. At the time of writing, the coin consolidated in the area of $1.22, which represents a daily gain of 3.25%.

Large holders continue to accumulate XRP

In addition to macroeconomic factors, the coin receives strong support from its large holders. According to data from the blockchain, wallets with a balance of over 1 million XRP now hold 74.1% of the entire market supply. Over the previous week of the month, large players increased their reserves by approximately 1.53 billion tokens.
