An affiliate program, or referral program (Affiliate program), is a system of rewards in which a user receives a bonus for attracting new clients to a platform or project. The person who invites others is called an affiliate, and the users they bring in are called referrals. Such programs are widely used by crypto exchanges, wallets and services to grow their audience.

The reward is credited for a target action by the referral: registration, making trades, paying for services or depositing funds. The conditions depend on the specific platform and may be expressed as a percentage of fees, fixed bonuses or other forms of incentive.

Single-level and multi-level programs

• in a single-level program the affiliate receives a reward only from the actions of their own referrals;
• in a multi-level program you can also earn from the activity of users brought in by your referrals.
