Oman requires licensed Bitcoin miners to operate through a national pool

Oman has launched a national mining pool that all licensed cryptocurrency miners in the country must join. The project was launched by Oman's Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology together with Frontier Technologies; the technology platform and liquidity infrastructure were provided by Enegix Global.
In the first stage, the pool is expected to combine around 10 EH/s of computing power. Since 2022, investments in mining and data center infrastructure in the Salalah free zone have exceeded $700 million, including a hydro-cooled mining site costing $370 million.
