China announces mass production of silicon-28
The China National Nuclear Corporation has announced the launch of mass production of silicon-28 with an isotopic purity above 99.99%. This was called the country's first independent large-scale production of such a material. Silicon-28 is used in silicon quantum computers: it reduces magnetic interference and helps improve qubit stability.
