Huawei Unveils HarmonyOS 7 with AI Agents
Huawei has unveiled HarmonyOS 7 — a new version of the operating system with a focus on AI agents. The updated assistant Xiaoyi manages more than 2,100 system capabilities and interacts with 2,000 third-party AI agents. The company also showcased openPangu 2.0 — a family of models for the HarmonyOS ecosystem. A stable release of HarmonyOS 7 is expected in the autumn of 2026. According to Counterpoint Research, in Q1 HarmonyOS held 19% of China's mobile operating system market against 16% for iOS.
