This altcoin was launched and began its development when the Bitcoin network reached block height 495,866. This is the third major Bitcoin Airdrop that users received in 2017, not counting the B2X coins from the launched SegWit2x. 2017 was quite profitable for BTC holders. What Bitcoin Diamond claims is, first of all, privacy. It seems that the fork's developers have found a way to encrypt transaction amounts and the balances of all BCD users.
