The all-time high (All Time High, ATH), also called the historical high, is the highest price a given asset has ever shown on the open market. The term is widely used in cryptocurrencies, but it came from traditional finance and applies equally to stocks, indices and other traded instruments.

The ATH metric helps market participants assess the scale of price movement and an asset's current position relative to its peak values. If a quote is far below the historical high, this is often viewed as recovery potential; if it is close to it, as a zone of heightened attention. However, the all-time high in itself does not predict future dynamics and does not guarantee a return to previous levels.

It is worth remembering that the ATH is a historical fact, not a forecast. Reaching a new all-time high does not mean that growth will continue, just as a decline from the peak does not indicate further falling. Sound analysis requires taking into account many factors: trading volumes, the project's fundamental indicators and the overall state of the market, rather than relying on a single figure.
