Gate, one of the leading global digital asset trading platforms, has released its August 2026 Transparency Report. The report shows that Gate’s multi-asset business maintained strong momentum in August, with lines of business including TradFi, derivatives, wealth management, on-chain trading, and institutional services demonstrating solid growth.

Service capabilities across trading, investment, and asset management scenarios were further enhanced. Against the backdrop of accelerating integration between digital assets and traditional financial markets, Gate continues to strengthen its financial service framework covering multiple asset classes, diverse trading scenarios, and varied user needs.

On the trading front, Gate maintained high activity levels across core trading indicators in August. According to DefiLlama data, Gate’s 24-hour total spot and derivatives trading volume reached approximately $9.5 billion, ranking among the global Top 3, while open interest hit $12.48 billion, also placing in the global Top 3.

The platform recorded net capital inflows of $308.1 million over the past 30 days, ranking second among major trading platforms. In specific market segments, CryptoQuant data shows that Gate’s equity perpetual futures trading volume grew 308% month-over-month, marking three consecutive months of triple-digit growth. 

CryptoRank data indicates that Gate’s RWA perpetual futures open interest reached $378.8 million, accounting for 49.6% of the global centralized exchange market share and ranking first.

TradFi emerged as a key growth driver in August. Gate’s spot stock coverage surpassed 12,800 assets, officially entering the Japanese market with an initial rollout of approximately 300 stocks listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Equity assets’ cumulative trading volume topped $2 billion.

Over the same period, CFDs expanded to cover 680 trading pairs, with the total number of TradFi assets exceeding 1,000, including equity derivatives covering more than 360 underlying assets.

In asset management, Gate Simple Earn listed 23 new projects, reaching cumulative subscriptions of $1.626 billion, with monthly TVL peaking at $1.624 billion. Gate Staking reached a peak TVL of $1.44 billion, up 13.4% month-over-month, while GUSD pool size hit a record high of $257 million.

Derivatives and emerging trading scenarios maintained rapid growth. In August, Gate’s cumulative options trading volume reached approximately 910 million USDT, up 36.6% month-over-month, with premium volume increasing by about 189.1%. Event Contract trading volume surged 286.09% month-over-month, with active traders growing 473.11% as coverage expanded to 9 cryptocurrency assets.

Additionally, Gate Swap trading volume grew 28.4% month-over-month, and Perp DEX API trading volume jumped 134%, highlighting increased user activity across non-traditional derivatives and on-chain trading scenarios.

In institutional services, Gate saw spot and futures trading volumes grow approximately 21% and 8% month-over-month, respectively. CrossEx asset size grew 143% month-over-month, hitting a new all-time high. The platform simultaneously implemented feature upgrades, including isolated margin, USDC flash repayment, arbitrage opportunity displays, and API services, continuously optimizing trading, settlement, and fund management infrastructure for professional traders and institutional clients.

Alongside business expansion, Gate continued to reinforce asset security and transparency. As of August 19, 2026, Gate’s total reserve scale reached $8.215 billion, with an overall reserve ratio of 127%. Specifically, excess reserve ratios for BTC and ETH stood at 22.79% and 22.05%, respectively. The combined reserve ratio for USDT, USDC, USD1, and GUSD reached 111.63%, while GT and XRP reserve ratios stood at 131.15% and 116.09%.

In brand and community building, Gate actively deepened user connections through global offline events, content creation, and community engagement. Gate attended Coinfest Asia 2026 and hosted side events as the conference’s Summer Bay sponsor. Through channels such as Gate Live, the platform strengthened dialogue with global users and industry participants.
