90% of All Monero Has Already Been Mined. What Next?

At present, 90% of all Monero has already been mined. What next? Next comes an emission period called Tail Emission. The issuance of coins will not stop, but the block reward will decrease and will amount to 0.3 XMR per minute. Currently this reward stands at 3.44 XMR. Followers of the Monero cryptocurrency believe that Tail Emission will make the blockchain more attractive for mining. After all, constant incentives will be provided even after the final amount of XMR is reached. In addition, this should help maintain the further security of the network. Monero's principles differ from the rules of the bitcoin network. With BTC, the block reward decreases not gradually and in small fractions as with Monero, but by half all at once. This is worth thinking about, because when bitcoin stops its emission, the miners providing security in the network will rely only on transaction fees, which could lead to a wide variety of consequences, up to the loss of the network's usefulness. However, BTC has another few decades to resolve these issues, as some bitcoin optimists claim. Today the XMR token occupies 13th place in the cryptocurrency ranking. Over the past day the cryptocurrency has risen by 13.52% and is now trading at a price of 49 dollars.
