Thanks to this, online stores and services can accept payment without having to build the entire settlement infrastructure themselves.

In the field of cryptocurrencies, payment gateways solve similar tasks but take the specifics of the blockchain into account. Such a gateway allows a seller to accept payment in digital assets: it generates an address or invoice for the transfer, tracks the receipt of funds on the network, confirms the transaction, and, if necessary, converts the received amount. This simplifies the integration of crypto payments for a business that does not need to understand all the technical details of how the networks operate.
