Beware of the L0rdix Malware

In the run-up to the New Year, hackers appear to be working tirelessly, releasing ever more new kinds of malicious software. Just recently researchers discovered a new variety of cryptojacking malware called L0rdix, which steals data, carries out covert mining, perfectly evades antivirus programs, and can ruin your New Year holidays. The danger of L0rdix is that no anti-malware solution is currently able to cope with it.
The malware easily infects other computers on the network, removable media, network drives, and so on. Researchers say the threat is amplified by botnet capabilities. And since it is still unclear how to prevent infection by L0rdix, let alone deal with it, the main advice from specialists for now boils down to the need not to click just anywhere, but to "have a good understanding of what you are clicking on".
