Opinions of market participants have split into two camps and two branches were formed: one branch uses the new SegWit2x protocol and the another uses Bitcoin cash.

The main idea was to create a decentralized database copies of which will be stored by all participants in the system in an encrypted form. Units of payment are bitcoins.
